Announcement on the introduction of the highest level of COVID-19 threat at the Silesian University of Technology
From March 22 (Monday), the red (highest) level of COVID-19 risk is imposed at the Silesian University of Technology. Please read the Ordinance No. 45/2021 of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology of 19 March  2021 changing the regulation on the functioning of the University from 1 October  2020.
Until 30 April 2021, education of students and doctoral students, as well as classes for participants of postgraduate studies and other forms of education are conducted using distance learning methods and techniques.
It is possible to conduct face-to-face classes if they require research and laboratory infrastructure or develop practical skills, as well as research necessary for the preparation for diploma theses, engineering projects or PBL projects and as part of the activity of the Student Scientific Association under the conditions specified by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Education (Ordinance No 16/2021 of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology of 28 January 2021 amending the ordinance on the organisation of education from 9 November 2020 [Legal Monitor, item 64]).

BASIC SANITARY REGIME:
  • hand disinfection and thorough handwashing with soap and water,
  • keeping a social distance(minimum 1.5 m),
  • covering the nose and mouth in the presence of other individuals and while in generally accessible places,
  • limiting the number of people in classrooms to half or per the information displayed on the classroom entrance door
  • frequent ventilation of rooms,
  • frequent disinfection of touch surfaces (lifts, handrails, door handles, light switches, countertops, etc.), sanitary facilities,
  • measuring the temperature of individuals entering the University,
  • introducing one-way traffic in the buildings of the Silesian University of Technology,
  • ban on gatherings in corridors and passageways,
  • application of the current regulations of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS).
