Announcement concerning accommodation in student residence halls

Due to the introduction of the highest (third) COVID-19 risk level, accommodation in student and teacher residences halls of the Silesian University of Technology is suspended from 22 March 2021 until further notice.

On the basis of the Ordinance No 46/2021 of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology of 19 March 2021 (Legal Monitor, item 199).

BASIC SANITARY REGIME:
  • hand disinfection and thorough handwashing with soap and water,
  • keeping a social distance(minimum 1.5 m),
  • covering the nose and mouth in the presence of other individuals and while in generally accessible places,
  • limiting the number of people in classrooms to half or per the information displayed on the classroom entrance door
  • frequent ventilation of rooms,
  • frequent disinfection of touch surfaces (lifts, handrails, door handles, light switches, countertops, etc.), sanitary facilities,
  • measuring the temperature of individuals entering the University,
  • introducing one-way traffic in the buildings of the Silesian University of Technology,
  • ban on gatherings in corridors and passageways,
  • application of the current regulations of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS).
